Both machines cut from 0.6 mm (0.024″). The VPD3-1M goes to 1.9 mm (0.075″), the VPD5-330 to 2.54 mm (0.100″). The common 1.6 mm (0.062″) board fits both.

Which PCB depaneler do I need?
Measure the longest V-score and the board thickness. The VPD3-1M cuts up to 290 mm (11.42″) and boards 0.6 to 1.9 mm (0.024″ to 0.075″); the VPD5-330 cuts up to 330 mm (12.99″) and boards 0.6 to 2.54 mm (0.024″ to 0.100″).
What is the thickest board they cut?
The VPD5-330 cuts V-scored boards up to 2.54 mm (0.100″). The VPD3-1M goes to 1.9 mm (0.075″).
Is a V-cut depaneler an alternative to a laser?
For V-scored FR4 panels, yes. It separates along the score with no heat, no fumes and no char on the edge, at a fraction of the cost of a laser system. A laser earns its place on tab-routed, flex or unscored panels, which a V-cut machine does not cut.
Do they cut tab-routed or unscored panels?
No. Both cut pre-scored V-groove panels. For tab-routed or unscored boards, send us the panel and an engineer recommends the method.
How long does a machine take to arrive?
In under 3 business days when it is in stock, and 2 to 4 weeks at most when it is not. It ships from the US, with freight quoted on your PO.
How often do blades need changing?
It depends on the board material and your volume. Blades and spares ship from US stock, and the blade program reminds you before a dull edge reaches your boards.
Can your machine replace the one I run now?
Yes, for the models in our lookup. Type your model in the finder and it shows ours for the same panels. If yours is not there, send it and an engineer matches it, usually the same day.
