Aluminum pillars, a galvanized steel base and conductive side panels on the standard racks. The lighter B0105 runs a conductive PS base, and the 300 °C (572 °F) HT series is all aluminum. Every rack holds its 50 slots parallel, so the loader indexes each board the same way.

A toothed track drives both side panels at once, so the slots stay parallel across all 50 positions instead of drifting when an operator sets each side by hand. This is the mechanism to specify when board width changes between jobs.

Gear, screw or belt: what is the difference on a PCB magazine rack?

All three set the slot width to your board. Gear adjustment moves both side panels together with one turn, the pick for high-mix lines that change width between jobs, rated 80, 120 or 200 °C (176, 248 or 392 °F). Screw adjustment clamps the width once and holds it, for high-volume lines that run one board for long stretches, rated 80 °C (176 °F) or 200 °C (392 °F). Belt adjustment runs continuously from 10 mm (0.394″) wide with no steps, for narrow boards and fast changeover, rated 80 °C (176 °F). For 300 °C (572 °F) reflow and bake, take the all-aluminum HT series.

Where do PCB magazine racks sit on an SMT line?

At the loader and unloader, between reflow and test while boards cool, in the bake oven on the 200 °C (392 °F) and 300 °C (572 °F) series, and in storage between cells. Will your PCB magazine rack fit my SMT loader?

Every rack holds 50 boards at a 10 mm (0.394″) pitch. Loaders pick the first slot from the chassis edge, so the Engineer's corner lists the A and B reference offsets for every model: 34 / 34 mm (1.34″ / 1.34″) on most racks, with the exceptions printed per part number. Send us your loader model and board size, and an engineer confirms the rack within one business day.

What does it cost to outfit a line with magazine racks?

Racks run from $179.00 (B0105GPN-80C) to $955.00 (B0110GC BELT-80C) each, set by board size, adjustment and temperature rating. Order 20 or more magazine racks, any mix, and 10% comes off automatically at checkout. Twenty B0103GN-80C racks, for example, come to $3,384.00 instead of $3,760.00.
