The RA-16C is an ESD-safe slotted rack for standard-thickness boards. Each of its 25 slots is 1.7 mm wide and 4 mm deep, on a 15 mm pitch, taking boards up to 1.6 mm thick and 400 × 260 mm. Operating range is −10 °C to +80 °C (14 °F to 176 °F). It ships as a pack of 10 and needs no assembly.

The RA-16C is a 25-slot conductive polypropylene rack for standard-thickness PCBs.

Each slot is 1.7 mm wide and 4 mm deep, on a 15 mm pitch. Boards up to 1.6 mm thick drop in freely and stand straight, with zero surface contact between assemblies.

Boards up to 400 × 260 mm span the 160 mm rack width and may overhang both sides, so panels wider than the rack body are fully supported. At 0.34 kg empty, it moves loaded between workstations without operator fatigue. Conductive PP at 10⁴–10⁶ Ω, the dissipative band under ANSI/ESD S541, keeps boards protected from SMT placement through final inspection.

IPC/JEDEC J-STD-033
The moisture-sensitive-device handling standard. It sets the bake profiles (typically 90–125 °C) used to drive moisture out of MSD boards before reflow, which is why a rack's temperature rating decides whether boards can stay in it through the bake.
ANSI/ESD S541
The ESD Association standard for packaging materials in an EPA. It classifies surface resistance into conductive (below 10⁴ Ω), dissipative (10⁴ to below 10¹¹ Ω) and insulative bands. Our measured 10⁴–10⁶ Ω sits in the dissipative band, the range specified for board handling.

Will my boards fit?
Boards up to 400 × 260 mm fit, down to 50 × 50 mm, at up to 1.6 mm thick. Boards span the 160 mm rack body and may overhang on both sides, so panels wider than the rack are still fully supported in the slots.
Will a standard 1.6 mm board bind in the 1.7 mm slot?
No. The 0.1 mm clearance is intentional: boards drop in and out freely but stand straight without rattling. For thicker boards (heavy-copper, multilayer up to 2.4 mm), use the RA-17C with its 3.2 mm slot.
Is it ESD-safe for our EPA workstations?
Yes. Conductive polypropylene with system resistance of 10⁴–10⁶ Ω, in the dissipative band under ANSI/ESD S541. NASTC ESD test reports and SGS RoHS certificates are available on request for audit files.
How does it ship, and how fast?
It ships as a pack of 10 racks from US stock; in-stock orders ship in under 24 hours. Rack orders over $1,000 ship free ground within the continental US.
Can it go through an oven or reflow?
No. This is a room-temperature bench and shelf rack rated −10 °C to +80 °C. For bake, cure, or reflow, use the magazine racks: 200 °C (GM/M) or the all-aluminum 300 °C HT Series.
Does it work with SMT loaders and unloaders?
No, the RA-16C is a bench-side and shelving rack for manual handling, not an in-line magazine. If you need loader compatibility, look at the B0103–B0109 magazine racks with the 50-slot loader interface.
How do I clean it without ruining the ESD surface?
Warm water with a mild pH-neutral detergent; IPA 70% for spot cleaning. Never use acetone, aromatic or halogenated solvents, or abrasives: they attack the conductive surface, and the damage does not reverse. Dry fully before boards go back in.
