Description

The RA-18C is an ESD PCB tray: a 25-slot conductive polypropylene slotted-edge rack with double-sided slots, boards engage from both edges, and carry handles molded into both ends.

Slots are 3 mm (0.118″) wide: 7 mm (0.276″) deep on the top side and 7.5 mm (0.295″) on the bottom side with a rounded profile, on a 15 mm (0.591″) pitch. The two-edge grip keeps two-side-populated assemblies and heavy-copper boards from rocking or walking out mid-transport, and the molded handles let one operator carry a fully loaded rack two-handed across doors, carts, and elevators.

Boards up to 320 × 180 mm (12.60″ × 7.09″) and 2.4 mm (0.094″) thick span the 140 mm (5.51″) rack width and may overhang both sides. Conductive PP at 10⁴ Ω. Best seller in the slotted-edge series, the rack of choice when transport stability matters more than maximum board face area.

Questions

Will my boards fit?

Boards up to 320 × 180 mm (12.60″ × 7.09″) fit, down to 50 × 50 mm (1.97″ × 1.97″), at up to 2.4 mm (0.094″) thick. Boards span the 140 mm (5.51″) rack body and may overhang on both sides.

What does the double-sided grip actually do?

A single-sided rack holds one edge and lets the board lean. The RA-18C engages both edges, 7 mm (0.276″) deep top side, 7.5 mm (0.295″) bottom, so two-side-populated assemblies and heavy-copper boards can't rock or walk out during transport. It's the best seller in the slotted-edge series for exactly that reason.

Why are the two sides different depths?

The top slot is a 7 mm (0.276″) square seat; the bottom slot is 7.5 mm (0.295″) with a rounded profile. Together they lock the board while still letting it drop in and out freely: the round bottom guides insertion, the square top holds alignment.

Is it ESD-safe for our EPA workstations?

Yes. Conductive polypropylene, 10⁴ Ω. ESD and RoHS test reports are available on request for your audit file.

Can it go through an oven or reflow?

No. This is a room-temperature bench and shelf rack rated −10 °C to +80 °C. For bake, cure, or reflow, use the magazine racks: 200 °C (GM/M) or the all-aluminum 300 °C HT Series.

How do I clean it without ruining the ESD surface?

Warm water with a mild pH-neutral detergent; IPA 70% for spot cleaning. Never use acetone, aromatic or halogenated solvents, or abrasives: they attack the conductive surface, and the damage does not reverse. Dry fully before boards go back in.
