Is this the same blade that ships with the machine?

Yes. This is the standard circular blade pre-installed on the VPD3-1M from the factory.

How often should I replace the circular blade?

Blade life depends on board volume and material. Most production cells replace at annual maintenance, or sooner if cut quality drops.

Do I need any special tools to replace it?

No. The blade swap uses a single hex wrench. The Spare Parts List PDF in the VPD3-1M product page covers the procedure.

Do you make custom blades for non-standard board geometries?

Yes. We make custom blades for the VPD3-1M and VPD5-330 on request, for non-standard score depths, board thicknesses or component clearances. Email info@pcbracks.com with your board thickness, score depth and the component clearance you need, and we quote the blade.
