Same Board Width Every Run. Stop Paying for Quick-Change.

REF 01

Production lines that run the same board width for weeks or months don’t need a quick-change gear-track mechanism. They need a width that stays exactly where it was set and won’t drift under vibration, stacking, or repeated loading. Screw adjustment locks the panel mechanically, **set it once, walk away**.

How screw adjustment works on your line

The B0104N-80C is a 50-slot ESD magazine rack with screw-clamp width adjustment, precision mechanical, vibration-resistant, locked once and held through thousands of load cycles. Width range is the same 50–250 mm as the gear-track sibling, but the screw mechanism is about 10–15% lower cost and shaves a fraction of a kilo off the empty weight (6.1 kg vs 6.3 kg).

Construction: 5 interchangeable Conductive PPE side panels per wall, aluminum pillars, galvanized steel base, same materials and same compliance as the gear-track variants. The screw mechanism replaces the gear track / pinion assembly with a precision threaded clamp on each side panel. Conductive 10⁴–10⁶ Ω band across all contact points; sectioned panels swap individually if one gets damaged.

Pick the screw variant when your line runs a fixed board width for the duration of the program, you set the width once, lock it, and the rack runs for weeks without re-adjustment. For frequent width changes, the B0103GN-80C gear-track sibling is faster to set. For 200 °C bake on the screw mechanism, use the B0104M-200C.

Questions engineers ask

REF 12
Screw vs gear-track adjustment, which one do I pick?
Pick **screw** (this rack) when your line runs **one board width for the duration of a program**. The screw mechanism locks the panel position with mechanical precision, zero drift through transport vibration, repeated loading, or thermal cycling. About **10–15% lower cost** than the gear-track equivalent, and slightly lighter (6.1 kg vs 6.3 kg). Pick the [gear-track B0103GN-80C](pcb-b0103gn-80c-shop-standalone-rev2.html) when board widths change frequently and re-set speed matters.
How “set-once” is the screw clamp? Will it drift?
The screw mechanism is a **precision threaded clamp**, not a friction lock. Once tightened to the target width, it holds position through thousands of load cycles, transport vibration, and thermal cycling. Re-adjustment is by intent only (loosen, slide, re-tighten), not by accident. For dedicated lines that run the same width for weeks or months, the screw rack is the lower-maintenance pick.
Will the B0104N-80C drop into my SMT loader / unloader?
Yes. The 563 mm chassis height and 10 mm slot pitch match the standard interface for ASM SIPLACE, Yamaha YSM, Panasonic NPM, Juki RS, and most other in-line SMT loader / unloader equipment. The 355 × 320 mm footprint is identical to the B0103 family (gear-track, belt, HT) and the B0104M-200C screw sibling. If your line uses a non-standard fixture, ask sales for a fit-check before ordering.
Can I bake the B0104N-80C? What’s the temperature ceiling?
The N-80C variant is rated 80 °C (176 °F), the standard SMT envelope (transport, storage, soldering, inspection, cleaning). For **bake-suitable** use on the same screw mechanism, pick the [B0104M-200C (200 °C)](pcb-b0104m-200c-shop-standalone.html), same chassis, same screw clamp, qualified for IPC/JEDEC J-STD-033 moisture-removal cycles. The screw family does not currently include a 300 °C variant; for that, switch to the [B0103GL HT-300C gear-track all-aluminum](pcb-b0103gl-ht-300c-shop-standalone.html) rack.
Can I replace a damaged side panel without buying a whole new rack?
Yes. The side panels are made of **5 interchangeable Conductive PPE sections per wall**, each individually replaceable. If one section gets cracked or contaminated, swap that section out and the rest of the rack stays in service. [Rack spares are stocked](pcb-rack-spares-shop-standalone.html) for every magazine-rack chassis we’ve ever shipped.
What ships in the box?
One B0104N-80C magazine rack, sold individually. Includes **stopper bar** and **carrying handles** (top and bottom). Packaging size 570 × 370 × 100 mm at 6.1 kg gross. Stocked at the US warehouse, most orders ship the same week. No assembly required.
