What it does on your line

The B0109GN-80C is a maximum-format 50-slot ESD magazine rack built for in-line SMT automation, board storage, and bench-to-bench transport on wide board lines, backplanes, motherboards, oversized industrial PCBs. Gear-track adjustment sets the board width from 50 to 460 mm (1.97″ to 18.11″) in seconds, with parallelism maintained across all 50 slots, one rack covers the full maximum-format range (up to 535 × 460 mm (21.06″ × 18.11″) boards) without re-tooling.

Construction: 5 interchangeable Conductive PPE side panels per wall, aluminum pillars, galvanized steel base. The mixed-material build provides structural rigidity under repeated loading and inline conveyor handling, while keeping the entire current path conductive, at 10⁴ Ω. Sectioned panels can be swapped individually if one is damaged, the rack stays in service.

Designed for the standard 80 °C ambient envelope (transport, storage, soldering, inspection, cleaning). Questions

Will the B0109GN-80C drop into my SMT loader / unloader?

The 569 mm (22.40″) chassis height (+6 mm (0.236″) vs B0103/B0106 at 563 mm (22.17″)) and 10 mm (0.394″) slot pitch align with the standard interface used by ASM SIPLACE, Yamaha YSM, Panasonic NPM, Juki RS, and most other in-line SMT loader / unloader equipment, but the 535 × 530 mm (21.06″ × 20.87″) footprint is a large one, many in-line loaders are not configured for maximum-format racks out of the box. Confirm with your loader / unloader vendor before ordering. Reference offsets are A=34, B=40, shared with the B0108 chassis, distinct from B0103 / B0106 (B=34) and B0109GL HT-300C (uses A=32 / B=39 due to all-aluminum panel rebuild).

What does “parallelism monitored” gear-track adjustment actually do?

Both side panels travel on a synchronized rack-and-pinion gear track. Turn the adjustment knob on either side and the opposite panel travels the same distance in the same direction, parallelism is mechanically monitored, not just operator-eyeballed. The result: a width spec set on Monday loads the same boards on Friday, and both panels stay parallel through the full 50–460 mm (1.97″–18.11″) travel range.

Can I bake the B0109GN-80C? What’s the temperature ceiling?

The GN-80C variant is rated −20 °C to +80 °C, the standard SMT envelope (transport, storage, soldering, inspection, cleaning). For bake-suitable use on the same maximum chassis, pick the B0109GM-200C (200 °C), which uses the same chassis with the same gear track. For aerospace-grade 300 °C cure, use the B0109GL HT-300C all-aluminum variant.

What’s the difference between this and a slotted-edge rack like RA-18C?

The B0109GN-80C is a maximum-format magazine rack: 50 slots, 10 mm (0.394″) pitch, designed to drop into in-line SMT loader / unloader equipment. The RA-18C is a slotted-edge transport rack: 25 slots at wider pitch, designed for benchtop / between-bench manual transport, not for in-line equipment. Pick magazine racks for SMT-line integration; pick slotted-edge for hand carry / bench-side WIP.

Can I replace a damaged side panel without buying a whole new rack?

Yes. The side panels are made of 5 interchangeable Conductive PPE sections per wall, each individually replaceable. If one section gets cracked or contaminated, swap that section out and the rest of the rack stays in service. Rack spares are sold separately for every magazine-rack chassis we’ve ever shipped, typically in stock, 10 working days maximum to supply.

How much weight can a loaded rack carry?

The load capacity (weight limit) is up to 85 kg (187 lb), spread evenly across the slots. As a check, 50 carrier plates at 1 kg each come to 50 kg, comfortably inside that. The figure is the whole load in the rack, not per slot.

Can I run anodized aluminum carriers or fixtures in this rack?

You can, and the load path here is conductive PPE side panels, the usual choice for bare boards. If you carry anodized aluminum carriers or fixtures and want no polymer touching them at all, the HT version of this chassis replaces every panel with clear anodized aluminum, so anodized rides on anodized, and it stays conductive, 10⁴ Ω.

Is there a 3D model or STEP file for this rack?

Yes, on request. Dimensional drawings and CAD are not posted on the site, so ask through the documentation request page and the team sends the STEP model for this chassis.

Can you ship to our contract manufacturer or an overseas partner?
