Measure the long and the short edge. Take the smallest rack that clears both, so boards sit square and the rack stays light. Boards narrower than 50 mm (1.97″) need a belt rack, which closes to 10 mm (0.394″).

Choosing a rack
How to choose a PCB rack in four questions
Answer these and you have your part number. The finder above asks them for you.
How hot does it get?
80 °C (176 °F) covers the SMT line, production and storage. Moisture bake needs a 200 °C (392 °F) rack. Reflow, cure and stress testing need the all-aluminum 300 °C (572 °F) GL HT.
Does it feed a machine?
If the rack loads an SMT line, it adjusts to the board: gear for most lines, belt for narrow and mixed widths, screw clamp when one width runs a whole program. For holding, carrying and storing, a fixed-slot rack costs less.
Is it populated?
Populated, thick or warped boards need room. The GL HT has a 7.5 mm (0.295″) slot and the RA-24 Mini a 7.7 mm (0.303″) deep slot. When parts stand taller than the gap between boards, use every other slot.
Which PCB rack fits my board?
Take the smallest rack whose largest board clears both edges of yours. Magazine racks run from 355 × 250 mm (13.98″ × 9.84″) on the B0103 to 620 × 460 mm (24.41″ × 18.11″) on the B0110. Boards narrower than 50 mm (1.97″) need a belt rack, which closes to 10 mm (0.394″). Universal trays take boards up to 400 × 260 mm (15.75″ × 10.24″) on the RA-16C. For populated or thick boards, use the RA-24 Mini's 7.7 mm (0.303″) deep slot or the GL HT's 7.5 mm (0.295″) slot. Or type your size in the finder above.
What is the largest board a PCB rack can hold?
The B0110 racks take boards up to 620 × 460 mm (24.41″ × 18.11″), with gear or belt adjustment. Like every rack, they ship from the US in under 24 hours when in stock. For wider boards we build custom racks in some cases, up to 24 × 21 in (610 × 533 mm).
Which PCB rack can go in a bake oven?
A GM rack for moisture bake to 200 °C (392 °F), or an all-aluminum GL HT rack to 300 °C (572 °F). Standard 80 °C (176 °F) racks stay out of the oven.
Which ESD turntable do I need?
The D380 has a 380 mm (14.96″) surface and carries up to 91 kg (200 lb). The D500 has a 500 mm (19.69″) surface and carries up to 113 kg (250 lb). Pick the one your assembly sits on.

What is the difference between a PCB magazine rack, a PCB tray and a PCB holder?
A magazine rack holds 50 boards in width-adjustable slots and feeds the SMT loader and unloader. It also stores boards between steps. A universal PCB tray, the slotted-edge rack, stands 25 boards on edge at the bench, on the shelf and in storage, sold in packs of 10. An angled PCB holder fans boards out at the bench so you can inspect and work on them. All three are conductive, 10⁴ Ω.
Who uses ESD PCB racks?
Electronics manufacturers in aerospace and defense, automotive electronics, medical devices and contract manufacturing. The racks hold boards in production and in storage between process steps: on the SMT line, at the bench and on the shelf.
Are your PCB racks ESD-safe?
Yes, every one. They are conductive, 10⁴ Ω, so static drains to ground instead of sitting on your boards. They are RoHS compliant, EU Directive (EU) 2015/863, and ESD and RoHS test reports are available on request.
Can your rack replace the one I use now?
Yes. Type the part number from your current rack in the finder and it shows ours for the same boards. If yours is not there yet, send it and an engineer matches it, usually the same day.
