How we verify what we sell
The tests we commission, the reports behind every number on this site, what we check before a box ships, and the things we deliberately refuse to claim.
Most equipment suppliers ask you to trust adjectives. "ESD safe." "High temperature." "Industrial grade." None of those are specifications, and none of them survive a quality audit.
This page documents how the numbers on this site are produced, so you can judge them instead of believing them.
The test reports behind the claims
Two independent reports cover the products we sell. Both are referenced by number on every product page that relies on them.

Two details worth noticing, because they are where most certificates fall down:
- The ESD report covers four measurements, not one. A single surface-resistance figure tells you nothing about whether charge can actually leave the part. Resistance to ground and decay time do.
- The RoHS certificate covers 20 components, not one sample. A rack is panels, pillars, a base, fasteners, gears and stoppers. A certificate for one plastic sample is not a certificate for the rack.

Why the spec sheets are not behind a form
Every spec sheet on this site is a direct PDF download. No email, no gate, no waiting for a sales rep to call you back.
The reason is practical. You are specifying equipment into a process, and you need the numbers in front of your process engineer before you talk to a vendor. A supplier who holds the datasheet hostage is optimising for their pipeline, not your line.
CAD files and dimensioned drawings do require a request. That is not a lead trap: those files are usually needed when someone is designing us into a fixture, and that is a conversation we want to have properly rather than by download.
What we check before a box ships
We are a small operation, and that is the reason this is possible rather than a limitation. Orders are checked by a person against the spec, not sampled statistically at the end of a line.
- Configuration against your process. Temperature rating, adjustment mechanism, slot pitch and chassis against what you told us you run. If something does not add up, you get an email before the box moves, not after.
- Fitment for spares. Rack spares are matched to the rack model and the generation. This is why the buy box asks which rack you have and where you bought it. We supply spares for racks bought anywhere, and the questions exist to send the right part.
- Serial or part number for machine spares. Depaneler blades and parts vary by machine configuration. If we do not have the serial, the order still goes through and we confirm before shipping.
- Physical condition. Panels, tracks and blades inspected before packing.
What we deliberately do not claim
Three things you will not find on this site, all on purpose:
- No customer reviews or star ratings. We are early, and we do not have a body of genuine reviews yet. Rather than manufacture them, we publish test reports and let you check the numbers. When real reviews exist, they will appear.
- No "S20.20 certified" product claim. ANSI/ESD S20.20 certifies a facility's ESD control program, not a rack. Vendors who claim their product is S20.20 certified are either confused or counting on you not knowing the difference. Our materials give your program evidence it can defend; the certification is yours.
- No promised lead time we cannot control. Stock items ship from the US warehouse. For anything configured or freighted, we confirm your ship date by email within one business day rather than printing a number that reads well and misses.
Our return position is equally plain: 30 days on racks, spares, kits and blades for unused items in original packaging, and defect-only on the machines. The buyer pays freight in both directions, including on a defect. We would rather state that plainly in the returns and warranty policy than advertise free returns we cannot fund, because a promise we cannot honour is worth less than an honest limit.
Who you are dealing with
PCBRacks is a small US distributor. Products are manufactured to spec overseas and shipped from a US warehouse, which is how the pricing works and why stock items move quickly.
When you email, an engineer answers, not a queue. That is the practical advantage of the size: the person who confirms your rack fits your loader is the person who can also tell you when it ships.
